Summer Island Smoothie

Summers are here, and so are a bunch of my favorite fruits high in antioxidants and nutritive value. I have picked a few of the most readily fruits that are at easy disposal in your kitchen, too and made my version of a smoothie that will take you back to the tropics. I like to call it the summer island smoothie for no particular reason except it reminds me of Bali. Well, if you can't make it to the beach amidst the lockdown, this refreshing smoothie will surely make you feel like one :) Feel free to make your own rendition of it using available items in your pantry at this hour of crisis. I strong advice you to stay home and make use of food resources optimally.

INGREDIENTS - PINK PULP - 1 frozen Banana. chopped 1/2 Beetroot, chopped 1 tsp fresh Ginger, grated 1 tsp Vanilla extract 1/2 cup Apple, chopped 1/2 cup Carrot, chopped 1/2 cup Milk 1/4 cup Pomegranate YELLOW PULP - 1 cup Orange juice, fresh 1 frozen Banana, chopped 1 Kiwi, chopped 1 cup Papaya, chopped 1 tsp Turmeric 2 tbsp Honey/Maple syrup SERVINGS: 2 People PROCESS - 1. Take a blender and all the ingredients for the Pink pulp in it. Process it until its smooth and keep it aside. 2. In the same jar, add the ingredients for the Yellow pulp and process it as well until it becomes smooth, and all ingredients are blended together well. 3. Now take a jar and pour both the pulp, one by one. This will give a very interesting color to your drink. 4. Refrigerate it and stir well before inserting a straw and serve chilled.
