Easy Apple & Plum Crumble

These two fruits work miraculously delicious as a combination, and that was a recent discovery by me by stuffing them in a pie together! Today, however I was slightly on a time crunch and too lazy to whip up the same, which is why I found an easier alternative of making a crumble. It is an easy 5 ingredient recipe and surely an instant hit with everyone, and best part - so easy to make :)

INGREDIENTS: CRUMBLE FILLING 4 plums, pitted and chopped 3 apples, chopped 2 tbsp brown sugar 1 tbsp corn starch 1 tbsp butter 1 tsp lemon juice CRUMBLE TOPPING 1 cup rolled oats 3/4 cup all purpose flour 1 tbsp cold butter, cubed 1 tbsp brown sugar SERVINGS: 6 PROCESS: 1. In a small bowl, combine the flour, rolled oats and brown sugar. With clean and dry hands, work the butter cubes into this mixture until it is well combined. Refrigerate for 20-30 minutes. 2. Next, take a thick bottomed pan and add butter in it. Throw in the chopped plums and apples when the butter melts, and give this a good mix for a minute. Sprinkle the brown sugar over this until all fruit chunks are evenly coated with it. Add the corn flour now, while giving this a good mix and heating on low flame for about 10 minutes. Drain the excess juice later and keep the fruits aside. 3. Now take an oven proof pie dish and layer the fruits on its greased base. Let it rest for few minutes and later sprinkle the topping over plum and apple mixture. Garnish with some sugar powder which is totally optional. 4. Bake in a preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the fruits are tender. Serve warm.
