Here’s What You Can Gift To A Gourmand This Christmas!

Christmas is synonymous of all the good things in life – food, family and gifts! But winters being predominantly a season making a lot of us multiple times more lazy than we really are, who would do the hassle of searching that perfect gift for your gourmand friend? Well, to make this easier for you, I did the job for all you folks and hunted down few things that could be the perfect gift this season!

Funky Eyewear from Lenskart

Lenskart is no new to the market, and has been a personal favorite since its inception. Apart from the amazing user experience, I would also recommending this courtesy their extensive collection which has some brilliant designs, both contemporary and quirky. I chose to ditch the boring, and tried rather something fun this time!

Christmas Special Donuts from Mad Over Donuts

Donut brands are known to stick to the classic flavours, and Mad over Donuts decide to take the route extraordinaire by rolling out some delicious seasonal specials in their menu. Who would ever say no to a Santa Hat shaped Donut filled with gooey Chocolate inside? Definitely NOT me! They have stores spread across the city, so you might keep it as an easy option for you.

Cakes & Cupcakes from The Dessert Studio

Aditi Ramdev, a talented 26 year old lady behind this amazing bakery won my heart with the first bite of those Chocolate Cookies. She has an assortment of interesting options in the menu to satiate the sweet tooth! From cupcakes, muffins to cake jars – there are enough options to get you drooling! Best thing- she delivers across Delhi.

Roar with Simba Beer

This new brand of beer to enter the Indian market is making news for quite a few reasons. And for those friends who prefer to raise to toast than share a cake, this makes for the perfect gift! They are not readily available across the city, but trust me one sip and you would realize that the effort was worth it!

Here’s hoping you’d love this curated list. Back with more, super soon xx

Savour 16 Dishes at Top Restaurants in INR 1200++ in Small Plates Week

After hosting a series of successful events like Restaurant Week, Chef’s Table Week and DineFest, Cellar Door makes the debut of one of a kind Small Plates Week in New Delhi from 14th to 23rd October, with 10 of Delhi’s most loved and critically acclaimed restaurants for informal dining.

During this 10 day period, Small Plates Week gives the diner the liberty to savor tasting portions of 16 top dishes at the city’s best restaurants at a uniform price of INR 1200++. This is a boon for people who are a regular to a restaurant and have never paid heed to anything beyond their favorite dish. It gives an opportunity to enjoy an array of dishes and try the menu in-depth. The menu for Small Plates Week features a minimum of 6 vegetarian and non-vegetarian savory dishes each and 4 desserts which ensure you have a gastronomic experience at the restaurant. These dishes usually are the signature items from the menu, which honestly save you the hassle of choosing what to order and also enjoy the most loved dishes. I have already dined at Perch in Vasant Vihar and planning to head to another place for a quick meal, that doesn’t punch a hole in the pocket and gives me the opportunity to enjoy the food at a great restaurant. A must try for people who fancy trying new places, eat nothing but the best and in small quantities {like me}.

At a place like Perch, sampling 16 dishes at a price of INR 1200++ per diner is honestly a steal deal. From the delicious Pork Scotch Eggs with White Wine to Maple Glazed Chilean Pork Ribs, to Spinach Gnocchi and Mustard Grilled Chicken with Asparagus, I was honestly taken aback by the whole idea of trying the best from the menu of an exemplary dining place in such a meager amount.

Some top notch restaurants of the city which have equally different cuisines and specialties are a part of the Delhi edition. A few of favorite places to dine out which include Ek Bar – Defence Colony, The Fatty Bao – RK Puram, The Hungry Monkey– Safdarjung, Ziu – R K Puram, Dhaba by Claridges – Epicuria & Saket, Perch -Vasant Vihar, Ping’s Café Orient – Lodhi Colony, Rustom’s – Aurobindo Marg and Elma’s at Good Earth –Saket among others.
